A bit sour when I tried one the first time but found that was okay and they lasted a good while in my mouth which is good. I had three over the course of an 11.5 mile very hilly run.

They are far easier to have than gels so will take them with me when I run the Bath Half Marathon this weekend and probably when I run the London Marathon in April

Been having these for a long while now take them in the morning at work and have to say they work.

So, firstly, 10/10 for customer service from Max. I tried some of the cherry bytes and was quite taken aback by the taste. Max took the time to reply to me and explain that it is the caffeine I was tasting, not chemicals. This made complete sense as I don't usually have caffeine in my diet, so it seemed very strong to me. Max seemed really keen to rectify this issue and recommended I try the peach ones which are a gentler flavour. I tried them for the first time today, and although I could still taste the caffeine they were much more pleasant. They sat easy on my stomach and helped me through my long run. So, definitely give them a go, and if you are like me, try the peach ones first. Such excellent customer service can seem a rarity in this day and age, so kudos to Max. I will definitely buy again.

Great taste to give you the boost you need, but little disappointed they didn't come in the little 2pks that I've seen advertised

I’m training for a marathon so getting fueling and nutrition right is key for me! Energy bytes have been great for my long distance training runs.

The taste can be a little bitter to start off with but they are compact and easy to eat while on the run and give good energy levels when used consistently at regular intervals
